will be released during 2006. On For Agnès he plays Kinderszenen by Schumann ,Debussy’s Children’s corner,excerpts from For Children by Bartók,Valse pour les enfants by Stravinsky,Villa-Lobos’ A Prole do Bebê and excerpts from Children’s songs by Chick Corea.The theme? Yes,you guessed it: Children.

Pöntinen's latest release for BIS is "PIANORAMA-CINEMATIC MUSIC "(BIS CD-1326) where he plays piano music used in films such as Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut", Beineix's "Diva", Fellini's " Amarcord "and Bergman's "Höstsonaten".
The music for "Amarcord" was not originally written for the piano, but here Pöntinen improvizes a suite in three parts based on Nino Rota's themes from the film.
